The Alishan Food Carnival continues to be an event where visitors can try out organic, vegetarian, and vegan dishes not normally served at the cafe and learn how to use Alishan ingredients to make healthier meals at home. This year's theme is Taiwan. All dishes concocted by Alishan staff will have connections to Taiwanese cuisine and culture and many of them will use Alishan's line of Taiwanese sauces and marinated vegetarian meats.
Like in previous years, Alishan hosts a blue sky market where you can buy seasonal fresh vegetables from local farmers, artisan bread from bakers who use natural yeast, and unique items made by local craft artists.
While you're at the event, enjoy a 15% discount on all Alishan products. The event will push through rain or shine.
Getting there
Alishan Organic Center is a 10 minute downhill walk from Koma Station along the Seibu Chichibu Line. Parking spaces will be limited and coming by train is recommended.
