Sweet potato fans, rejoice! A five day event at the Saitama Super Arena focuses on these much-loved root vegetables, with sweet potato growers from across the country gathering to showcase their produce.
At this year's event, a spotlight will be placed on sweet potatoes grown in colder regions of Japan, which aren't as well known as some of their warmer climate counterparts.
Almost 30 stalls selling baked sweet potatoes and other foods containing sweet potato will be present at the expo, with the full menu lineup to be posted on the official site closer to the event dates.
The Saitama Super Arena is located approximately 3 minutes on foot from Saitama Shintoshin Station, or aroiund 7 minutes on foot from Kita Yono Station.
Paid on-site parking is available and is charged at 400 yen for the first hour, and an additional 200 yen for every 30 minutes thereafter. As parking is limited, however, attendees are advised to use public transport wherever possible.
