From July 15th until August 30th, Shimane's Iwami Art Museum is hosting an art exhibition focused on refreshing paintings -- a perfect way to think yourself cool during the summer heat and humidity! Fall foliage and waterside landscapes are just a couple of the themes present in the works on display, from artists including Shoha Ito, Terasaki Kogyo, and Yori Tanaka to name just a few.
Admission to the special exhibition is priced at 1000 yen, and no advance reservations are required.
Shimane's Iwami Art Museum is located approximately 15 minutes on foot from the JR Masuda Station, served by the Sanin Main Line and the Yamaguchi Line. Buses are also available from the station - take the Iwami Kotsu Bus bound for Ikoji Temple, and alight at the "Grantova Mae" bus stop. The buses run approximately every 10 to 15 minutes.
For those who opt to drive, there is parking available on-site.
