農+ Notice is the brain child of Ryo Imazu and his wife who came up with the idea of growing and serving rich, nutritious organic food. Ryo knows the rubrics of agricultural techniques, having graduated from Tokyo Agriculture University. A stint as a business researcher helped him to come up with the idea of starting the restaurant in Hamakita, an area with rich red clay soil and pleasant weather with world famous dry winds known as karakaze. The breads served at Notice are all handmade on the premises. They are made of eight carefully selected varieties of domestically produced wheat flour and a few other locally grown ingredients. The bread is softened by a long process of fermentation over low heat. The domestically produced wheat flour includes varieties like Haru no koi, yumechikara, zenryuufun and rye sourced from Hokkaido.
