Nestled along the coast of Japan's Izu Peninsula, Kawazu is a town that would be easy to pass by. But looks can be deceiving, and that's definitely the case with Kawazu. Each year between February and March, this town hosts the Kawazu Sakura Festival, one of Japan's most unique cherry blossom festivals.
Unlike regular cherry blossoms, the Kawazu cherry blossoms begin blooming earlier, last longer, and are graced with a vibrant pink hue. Along with a stay at the nearby Izu Imaihama Tokyu Resort, this is a trip you will never forget!
