Admiring colorful autumn leaves is an enjoyable activity at any time of day, but there's something extra special about appreciating them under lights after dark. Shizuoka's Shuzenji Niji no Sato allows visitors to do just that at their annual autumn leaves light up event from mid-November to early December.
The light up event has been running for almost 20 years now, and includes approximately 1000 illuminated Japanese maples across the grounds. The lighting takes place from 4pm until 9pm during the event dates.
Admission to the event is priced at ¥1000 for adults (counted as junior high school students and above), and ¥500 for children (from 4 years old to elementary school student age).
