Tochigi's Tobu World Square is an architectural museum with over 100 reproductions of famous buildings on a miniature scale. For a limited period this December and January, the park will be illuminating these incredible mini structures so that visitors can appreciate them after dark.
The Night Play Around the World event is set to run for 23 days over two months, with the illuminations taking place from 4.30pm until 7pm each evening.
The full rundown of illumination dates is as follows:
December 3rd (Sat), 4th (Sun), 10th (Sat), 11th (Sun), 17th (Sat), 18th (Sun), 24th (Sat), 25th (Sun), 28th (Wed, 29th (Thurs), 30th (Fri).
January 2nd (Mon), 3rd (Tues), 4th (Wed), 7th (Satu), 8th (Sun), 9th (Mon), 14th (Sat), 15th (Sun), 21st (Sat), 22nd (Sun), 28th (Sat), 29th (Sun).
Getting there
Tobu World Square can be accessed in around 30 minutes driving time from the Tohoku Expressway's Utsunomiya IC. Paid on-site parking is available.
For those visiting via public transport, the venue is served by Tobu World Square Station (Tobu Railway).
