In autumn, a variety of rich and beautiful colors gradually appear in Nikko's Senjo-ga-hara marshlands. Green fields of grass become coffee-brown fields, leaves change their unique colorful dresses, and seeds and berries have brilliant red exteriors. The marshlands are wide open, showcasing breath-taking scenery and with Mt. Nantai in the background. Autumn is the most gorgeous season at this wet plain, 1400m above sea level.
