Takeda Shrine

Crowing roosters and a museum about a samurai hero

Takeda Shrine is a fairly new shrine, established and built in the early 1900s, but it was built on the ruins of 16th century samurai hero Takeda Shingen's fortified residence, which is why it boasts a semi-moat. Trees and a large area of grass make the shrine grounds green and attractive in summer.
