One of three main events of the World Cosplay Summit, the Red Carpet Parade is the main media event. Representatives from the twenty participating countries are chosen in pairs at preliminary competitions throughout the year.
The representatives parade down a red carpet in a roped off section of a main street in downtown Nagoya. This is an excellent chance to see the mayor of Nagoya who always dresses up in the spirit of the event.
The event takes place rain or shine with the cosplayers braving the elements- whatever they may be.
