The Cherry Blossom Festival at Mobara Park is conducted annually from late March until mid-April and is among the Top 100 places noted for cherry blossom viewing. There are approximately 2,850 cherry trees planted in the vast area of 160,000 square meters.
The more photogenic ones surround the large pond to highlight Bentendou, a small structure that houses an image of Benten (弁天), a goddess of wealth, happiness, wisdom & music. Visitors can enjoy the beautifully landscaped walking paths, the large grassy area, and observation decks that run along the hiking trails.
Please note that while the event for this year gives a start date (March 27th), the end date is simply listed as "mid April" on the official event website.
