If you'd like to indulge in a spot of ice skating this winter, head to the Chiba City Central Park. It's home to one of the largest synthetic ice skating rinks in Japan, spanning approximately 400 square meters. The high-quality synthetic ice is also used by professional athletes, and it has a huge benefit – if you fall, you won't get wet or cold, so it's perfect even for first-timers. The rink is also surrounded by seasonal illuminations, creating a wonderfully festive atmosphere.
If you do plan on visiting, please note the longer opening hours during weekends:
- Weekdays: 4pm–9pm (last entry 8pm)
- Weekends: 11am–9pm (last entry 8pm)
Getting there
Chiba City Park is located under 10 minutes on foot from Chiba Station, which is served by numerous JR lines and the Chiba Urban Monorail.
