Beautiful Geisha Joint-dance Performance in Awara Onsen

The other day I went to see the annual summer dance performance of Awara & Yamanaka Geigi (Geisha) in Awara Onsen (Hotspring). In this photo essay, I'd like to focus on the beautiful dance performance given by one of Awara Geigi, Ms. Shiori, who danced the piece, 'Miyakodori (black-headed gull)'. You don't get to see a live performance of an authentic Geisha that often in your life, do you? And to top it all off, it's rare that you can take photos of a performance freely! So, I took advantage of this rare chance and captured (or TRIED to capture) every movement she made on stage!
