When I visited the Kitano-Sho Castle Ruins near JR Fukui Station the other day, I spotted a small, cozy gallery on the other side of the alley from the ruins. I was intrigued, but didn't have time to explore.

Last night, I went to a Jazz live concert that happened to be held at the very same gallery I had spotted the other day. This gallery is called, 'Fukui Kitano Show Classics', a sister gallery to one located in Shibuya, Tokyo, 'KOEN DORI CLASSICS'.

It opened in June, 2013, as a gallery & live space, and various events such as live performances of Jazz, classical music, dance, and even Rakugo (Japanese storytelling) are held. Although it's small, listening to soothing jazz music in a cozy atmosphere was really nice. For upcoming events' schedule, please refer to the gallery's homepage.
