Pokémon fans in Kyushu have something to look forward to this summer, with the Pokémon Center Fukuoka set to reopen on Friday, June 27th. Located on the second floor of Hakata Marui, the newly renovated store will be larger than before and is designed to offer more than just shopping. Visitors can enjoy interactive displays, seasonal events, and even Pokémon card game activities at a dedicated card station.

The reopening also brings an impressive lineup of exclusive merchandise. Much of it celebrates Fukuoka’s local identity, such as collaboration goods with beloved tonkotsu ramen chain Ippudo and products featuring traditional Hakata-ori textile patterns. Other highlights include plush toys of Latias, Latios, and "Ramen Pikachu", logo pins, clear files, keychains, and a variety of t-shirts.

To help manage the crowds, a pre-opening preview will be held on June 26th, with 100 pairs of guests selected through a lottery system. Applications are open until May 20th via the Pokémon Center’s LINE-based application system. Entry to the store from June 27th to June 29th will also be limited, with details and entry methods to be announced in early June.

If you are planning a visit soon after the re-opening date, there is a special promotion taking place. Customers who spend 6,000 JPY or more between June 26th and July 18th will receive an original shopper bag featuring Pikachu, Latias, and Latios. Please note that quantities are limited, and the campaign will end once supplies run out.

Getting there

Pokémon Center Fukuoka will be located at Hakata Marui, which can be accessed in just three minutes on foot from Hakata Station.
