The Yame region of Fukuoka Prefecture is known as one of the leading producers of high-quality tea in Japan. For a limited time at the Hotel Cultia Dazaifu, an afternoon tea event will incorporate Yame tea into the sweet and savory dishes on offer. Some of the menu items include a Yame tea blancmange, Yame tea marinated mushrooms, and a Yame tea cream-filled Daifuku.
The price per head for the afternoon tea is 3,850 yen, and advance reservations can be made via the official hotel website or by phone. Do note that reservations are required before 3pm on the day prior to your intended visit.
Getting there
Hotel Cultia Dazaifu is located just 1 minute on foot from Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. The closest station is Dazaifu Station, which is about a 5 minute walk away.
For those who opt to drive to the venue, it's located around 7 kilometers (approximately 15 minutes driving time) from the Dazaifu IC on the Kyushu Expressway.
