I visited sacred Miyajima Island in late November, and the weather was gorgeous. One of the island's main attractions is Itsukushima Shrine which, like the famous torii gate, seems to be floating in the water during high tide. I got there early in the morning before it got too crowded, and while the air was still crisp and fresh.
