The Senjo-kaku is an unfinished shrine built by Hideyoshi Toyotomi in remembrance of his fallen warriors. It has no ceiling, so you can see the beams that hold up the roof. Officially the name of the building is the Toyokuni Shrine. It’s decorated with many artworks, with horses featured prominently. Next to it is the eye-catching red pagoda, the Goju-no-to.
