The Kanazawa Coffee Festival 2024 is cancelled due to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
The beautiful city of Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture is often nicknamed "Little Kyoto" thanks to its cultural charm, with the Higashi Chaya district known for its historical teahouses. The city is also earning a reputation as a destination for coffee lovers, and the Kanazawa Coffee Festival is set to bring a number of coffee shops from around Japan to the region.
The lineup of shops includes the likes of Coyote Coffee from Kyoto, Kariomons Coffee Roasters from Nagasaki, and Hazeru Coffee from Toyama. There will also be some food retailers at the event, including the popular Ovgo Baker, a vegan bakery with several stores across the country.
The theme for this year's event is "G'day Mate," with inspiration being drawn from Australia's coffee culture.
Getting there
The event takes place at Kanazawa Station's Motenashi Dome Underground Plaza. The station is served by various lines, including the Hokuriku Shinkansen, the Hokuriku Main Line, and the Ishikawa Railway line to name a few.
