Cherry Blossoms in Kamakura

A bright splash of natural color adds to the beauty

Kamakura is an attractive, peaceful place to visit at any time of year, but even more so during cherry-blossom season. Towards the end of March the trees around the temples and along the main road burst into life, adorning the town with bright splashes of color that bring out the beauty of the sights, as well as festive crowds enjoying the warm weather that the arrival of the flowers has heralded.
