Delicious meals at a lovely ryokan-hotel in Sengokuhara

<p>Our dinner was served at a regular table with chairs.</p>

<p>The pork shabu shabu melted in our mouths.</p>

<p>Guests grill vegetables and tender slices of Japanese beef on their own tiny hot plate.</p>

<p>For tofu fans, the yuba was especially delicious.</p>

<p>All of the dishes were small, but there were so many of them.</p>

<p>By the time the rice, miso soup, and soba noodles came, we were already stuffed!</p>

<p>Breakfast was also impressive.  This was only the center 'basket', many other items were also served.</p>

Guests at the ryokan-hotel 'Mount View Hakone' dine on amazing dinners that change constantly, offering seasonal favorites. Both dinner and breakfast consist of a wonderful selection of Japanese foods that feature locally grown products. There is even a meal plan that caters to vegetarians. The staff is very foreigner-friendly, and from 8:30am to 9:00pm there is always someone who can assist in English and Chinese.
