The Odawara Flower Garden in Kanagawa is a beautiful botanical garden known for its diverse collection of blooming flowers. The early summer timeframe is one of the garden's highlights, with plenty of seasonal color to enjoy in the form of irises and water lilies.
The annual Iris and Water Lily Festival is held on the garden grounds from early June to early July, and it includes around 1,000 irises in 180 varieties alongside water lilies and hydrangeas.

The best part? Admission to the garden and parking are both free of charge, making for a budget-friendly day out.
Getting there
The Odawara Flower Garden can be accessed in 20 minutes on foot from Iidaoka Station, which is served by the Izu Hakone Railway Daiyuzan Line. Please note that the walk is uphill.
Alternatively, buses are available to the garden from Odawara Station's East Exit (Platform 2). Take the Izu Hakone Bus bound for "Flower Garden/Kenritsu Suwanohara Park" and alight at the dedicated stop.
