Running for over a quarter of a century now, the Kita-Kurihama Cherry Blossom Festival is a fun, family-friendly event which includes a variety of activities to enjoy alongside plenty of sakura trees in bloom. The event takes place at the Negishi Traffic Park, which is known as one of the Yokosuka region's best spots to appreciate spring's beauty.
In addition to the bounty of blossoms, there will be a flea market with stalls selling various items, a bingo tournament, BMX riding displays, and even performances by the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Band.
There is no admission fee to enjoy the atmosphere of the event, but do bring some yen if you plan on making purchases.
Getting there
Negishi Traffic Park is located just seven minutes on foot from Kita-Kurihama Station, which is served by the Keikyū Kurihama Line.
There is no dedicated parking lot, so attendees are advised to utilize public transport wherever possible.
