A colorful addition to Yokohama

With plenty of wide open spaces, Yokohama Negishi Forest Park is a great place get away from it all

When entering the main section of this park, (a former horse racing track) you will be presented with a pretty sight!

Although during the weekends you may see a large number of people I have always been able to find somewhere to sit down and relax

It is possible to see these colorful flowers from many places in amongst the trees

It’s also not too hard to find some seclusion

Compared to other more famous tourist spots this park is visited by mainly local residents making it a good location for families

Being a personal favorite of mine for many years, it's never difficult to find something positive to say about Negishi Shinrin (Forest) Park which is a pleasant place to visit anytime of the year, but especially during the colorful spring season!

Although Yokohama may have several other more popular spots to see Cherry Blossoms this Park remains a personal favorite. The reason is simple; because it’s one of the few place where even on weekends, you still have a good chance of finding somewhere to sit down and relax whilst admiring the beautiful pink landscape.
