Myohonji has always been one of my favorite temples in Kamakura. One reason is that most people don't know about it. The second is that it is just a short walk from Kamakura Station. The third is its beauty. The walk up to this tranquil temple through a beautiful thick forest has the feel of Kyoto to it. I often visit the temple, and imagine my surprise last time I was there (December 2014) to find not only one, but two traditional wedding shoots in progress. This is the only time I have experienced this at Myohonji, and what a delight it was!
