If you're looking for some outdoor ice-skating fun this winter, the WakuWaku Ice World event at VinaWalk has you covered. Running from December 11th until February 18th, the event includes a 240 square meter rink that uses real ice.
If you do plan on attending, please note that the rink's operating hours differ from weekdays to weekends. On weekdays, the hours are from 14:00-19:00 (last entry at 17:50), and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays this extends to 11:00-20:00 (last entry at 18:50). During the period from December 25th until January 5th, the venue will operate off the weekend/holiday time schedule, but do note they will be closed on New Year's Day.
This is a paid event which includes skate rental – adult admission is priced at 1700 JPY, and children aged elementary age and younger are priced at 1300 JPY. Parent-child tickets are also available for 2800 JPY.
Getting there
VinaWalk is located just under 10 minutes on foot from Ebina Station, which is served by the Sagami Line, the Odakyu Odawara Line, and the Sotetsu Main Line.
