Red lanterns zigzag overhead from building to buidling

Yokohama's Chinatown

A microcosm of Chinese Culture in the heart of Yokohama

Anonymous   - 1 min read

Yokohama's Chinatown is a vibrant place to go in search of anything Chinese, be it food, clothing or souvenirs.

Alternatively you can get yourself a fish pedicure. This involves sinking your feet into a water tank and having Garra Rufa fish eat away your dry skin for a small fee. You could also try some of the delicacies they have available like the hundred-year-old-eggs. There is also shark fin soup available here. This is a rather controversial seafood dish, so if you feel strongly about this matter, consider yourself warned. Chinatown is best in the early evening when the lanterns begin to shine, I would suggest taking a stroll through the alleyways and going to a restaurant for dinner.
