The Nogeyama Zoo, just a 10 to 15 minute walk from JR Sakuragicho Station, is fairly small, making it easy to see all of the animals there within an hour or two. Like most people, zoos both fascinate me, and make me a bit sad at the same time. The animals are, of course beautiful, yet you have to feel sorry for them sitting there in cages, away from their natural habitats. I especially felt that way this time while viewing a magnificent pacing tiger, and two large condors. They didn't want to be there!
I enjoyed taking close-ups shots of these beautiful creatures, and would like to share them here with you.
Visit this zoo if you have a chance. Entrance is free.
