Ninnaji Temple in Kyoto

Five-story pagoda rising from hundreds of cherry trees

Ninnaji Temple is one of the loveliest places to experience o-hanami (cherry blossom viewing) in Kyoto. The late blooming cherry trees make a beautiful frame for the graceful five story pagoda. Access is a little difficult, but the effort is worth it. You can reach this temple by taking the Arashiyama Line of Keifuku Railway from Shijo-Omiya to Kitano-Hakubaicho. Then change to Kitano Line and go to Omuro-Ninnaji Station.
