When I stayed at the newly-opened Tokyu Harvest Club Kyoto Takagamine & VIALA, I didn't dine inside the hotel but chose one of the restaurants in the Japanese garden of Shozan Resort Kyoto, where the hotel is located.
The reason was simple, I wanted to eat Japanese food! (There's only an Italian restaurant inside the hotel) I was glad that I chose this place. Wakadori, meaning broiler or young chicken in Japanese, is a cosy, casual Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy delicious a la carte dishes at reasonable prices. Everything we ordered, from sliced raw fish and barbecued chicken to tamagoyaki (rolled eggs), tasted really great. The price was less than 5,000 yen for two people including drinks. For a gorgeous resort like Shozan Resort Kyoto, this is quite reasonable, isn't it? Highly recommended!
