The Westin Miyako Kyoto will be hosting a mango afternoon tea event until the end of July, and it's filled with a variety of dishes incorporating this popular tropical fruit. There are scones with mango jam and clotted cream, mango cheesecake slices, and mini ham and mango burgers to name just a few.
The price per head for the afternoon tea is 5,100 yen, and reservations are required at least one day in advance. These can be organized via the official hotel website or by telephone.
Getting there
The Westin Miyako Kyoto is located just two minutes on foot from Keage Station, which is served by the Tozai subway line. Alternatively, the hotel operates shuttle bus services from Kyoto Station to the premises on a regular basis - please check with them about departure times on the day of your intended visit.
For those who opt to drive, the hotel is around 15 minutes from the Kyoto-Higashi IC on the Meishin Expressway.
