There are famous lines of cherry trees called, The 1000 Cherry Trees at a Glance along Shiroishi River in Miyagi Prefecture. I've visited here many times in the past, but had never seen it in winter, so I ventured out to view the winter version on a very cold day in mid winter. It was deserted and looked sad, and was, quite expectedly, very cold! It was so cold it made water run from my eyes and nose, and I couldn't see what I was looking at through my viewfinder. Despite all that, I captured some views of the bare trees along the river, which will all bloom brilliantly in the coming spring. I can't wait!
