Miyagino Dori - Eagle Road

A beautiful road leading to the baseball stadium

<p>Miyagino Dori, or Eagle Road, starts on the east side of Sendai Station, and leads to the Rakuten Golden Eagles' baseball stadium</p>

<p>The road has separate lanes for pedestrians and cyclists, which makes for a relaxing stroll or cycle</p>

<p>Eagle Road also has some lovely water features  </p>

<p>The path is clean (as Japanese paths often are), and features some beautiful decoration</p>

<p>There is greenery separating the pedestrian and cycle paths, some stone seats and the occasional drinking fountain</p>

<p>Further down are links to the baseball stadium, like these vending machines</p>

<p>The baseball team's official cheerleaders, the Golden Angels, have a cheerleading school along Eagle Road</p>

<p>The stadium is fairly obvious, colored the dark red of the Eagles team</p>

Although many people go to the west side of Sendai Station, the east has a lot to offer, too. There's a cinema and dining complex, Shindera Dori, with all its temples, Tsutsujigaoka Park (with the Museum of History and Folklore) and Eagle Road.

Miyagino Dori is the real name of this road, but after a dedicated cycle lane was added in the crimson color of the local baseball team, the Rakuten Golden Eagles, it was renamed to Eagle Road.

The road leads straight to the baseball stadium where the Eagles play. It is decorated with water fountains and greenery, and makes for a lovely walk or bicycle ride.
