Christmas markets have have been growing in popularity across Japan, offering a festive atmosphere reminiscent of European traditions. These markets showcase local crafts, seasonal treats, and decorations, attracting both locals and tourists alike. The Nagano Christmas Market is a new event on the winter calendar, and it's set to bring all of those things to a convenient location – the Nagano Station East Exit Park.
On weekdays, the market will run from 3pm until 8pm, but on weekends that extends to 11am until 8pm.
Getting there
Nagano Station East Exit Park can be accessed in just five minutes on foot from Nagano Station, which is served by the Hokuriku Shinkansen, the Shin'etsu Main Line, the Kita-Shinano Line, and the Nagano Electric Railway's Nagano Line.
