Japan is known as a nation with an impressive train network, but it's not the only way of getting from A to B on your travel adventures. Motor homes (or camper vans) are another exciting way to explore the country, providing the opportunity to explore diverse landscapes and destinations at your own pace.
The Motor Camp Expo started in 2019 as a way to promote road trips and the myriad of outdoor activities associated with them, so if you've been contemplating this kind of travel around Japan it's an event worth checking out.
Adult admission to the expo is priced at ¥1,000 for same-day tickets (counted as anyone high school aged and over). Tickets bought in advance are ¥700. Review ticketing information here.
Getting there
The expo takes place at the Expo Memorial Park's Festival Plaza, which is easily accessible via Bampaku-kinen-koen Station on the Osaka Monorail's Main Line and Saito Line.
For those who opt to drive, the venue is around two kilometers from the Chugoku Expressway's Suita Exit toward Sakai on the Osaka Chuo Loop Line.
