Each year around the early October timeframe, Saga's Kinryu Park is filled with the color of thousands of cosmos flowers in bloom. The park spans around 3.5 hectares, and the cosmos planted here include several different varieties and colors, too.
One of the nicest things about a visit to this park is just how accessible it is - it's connected to the Kinryu Service area, which is one of the rest stops along the Nagasaki Expressway. It's a great way to break up a drive, stretch your legs, and appreciate the beauty of nature!
Admission to the park is free of charge.
Getting there
Kinryu Park is located just a couple of minutes on foot from the Kinryu service area parking lot on the Nagasaki Expressway.
Alternatively, if you're using public transport, take the city bus from the Saga Bus Center to "Kinryu Ikoi no Hiroba" - the journey takes approximately 35 minutes.
