Each year, Saga Prefecture's Mifuneyama Rakuen comes alive with springtime color, and their spring flower festival celebrates this. There are azaleas, wisteria, and spring maples for visitors to enjoy, which provide some truly spectacular scenery. The azaleas are often touted as the signature sight here, though - and with over 200,000 of them, you can begin to understand why!
As is the case for all flower festivals, the dates can fluctuate slightly from year to year depending on blooming conditions. Plan for around early April to early May, but do check the official website closer to the event's commencement for updates.
Adult admission to the park is priced at 700 yen.
