Musashi Kyuryo Forest Park is home to around 500 maple trees in approximately 20 varieties, and it's a popular place for visitors to enjoy the stunning colors of autumn. A special event taking place at the park this November will see the park opened up after dark for several days, allowing visitors to enjoy the illuminated seasonal foliage.
It's important to note that the evening illuminations are only taking place for several days in November, not the entire month. The dates are as follows:
- November 15th (Monday) to 19th (Friday)
- November 22nd (Monday),
- November 24th (Wednesday) to 26th (Friday)
Also, in the event of rain, the illuminations will be cancelled. Decisions are made at 2 pm each day if rain is forecast, and updates will be on the news section of the park's homepage.
Getting there
The park is located a short shuttle bus ride from Shinrin-koen Station on the Tobu Tojo Line. The bus is provided by the park during the festival dates at a cost of 200 yen per person.
For those who opt to drive, on-site parking is available.
