There are various great reasons for car lovers to visit Japan, from fascinating car museums to events like the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Mie's Suzuka Circuit. If you'd like a car-inspired place to stay, there's something for that, too – the Fuji Speedway Hotel in Shizuoka Prefecture which opened in late 2022.

Designed to be a destination where motorsports meets luxury hospitality, the Hyatt-operated hotel is located on the grounds of the Fuji Speedway race circuit with views of Mount Fuji as a backdrop. There are 120 rooms including 21 suites and five villas, and they offer floor to ceiling panoramas over the track and surrounding area. Every room comes with either a balcony or terrace as well!

If you need some relaxation and rejuvenation during your stay, the Omika Wellness & Spa area is a must. Located adjacent to the hotel building, the entire venue is dedicated to wellness with a hot spring bath, spa, indoor pool, and gym available for patrons to use. The hot spring water is sourced from a sulfate spring which is said to promote healthy skin, and the Mount Fuji view as you bathe is nothing short of spectacular.

The hotel even has an on-site museum – the Fuji Motor Sports Museum – which is located on the first and second floors of the building. It traces the history of motor sports for around 130 years, so if you're interested in learning more be sure to stop by.
