Mt. Omuro is a cute mountain (more like a big hill, really) on the Izu peninsula. It offers a great 360 degree view of the surrounding area, which includes stunning coastline and volcanoes. Make sure to check the weather before going, because even on a clear day the lift can be shut down due to high winds.
A grove of cherry blossom trees is nestled at the bottom of the mountain, so going during the cherry blossom season would be doubly spectacular.
