Headed to Tokyo this December and looking for a fun way to welcome in the festive season? British skincare and wellness brand Elemis is hosting a unique afternoon tea event where guests can enjoy a bus tour throughout the city as they dine.

The afternoon tea is scheduled to run from December 1st until 25th, and each day offers three departure times: 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm. The tour runs for 90 minutes, and each guest receives a trial size of Elemis' Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm – it's one of their best-selling items.

Part of what makes the event extra special is that the route runs past a number of seasonal illuminations, including the Keyakizaka Illuminations in Roppongi Hills and the Shibuya Blue Cave illuminations. The fairytale-like ambience of the sparkling trees definitely adds a healthy dose of holiday season cheer, so consider booking one of the later sessions if you'd like to see them at their best.

The afternoon tea event is priced at ¥6800 per head for adults, and ¥3000 for elementary aged children and below. Reservations can be made online via the official website here.

Getting there

The afternoon tea bus tour departs and arrives from the Shiota Building in the Omotesando area, located at 5-10 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo 107-0062. The venue is around 2 minutes on foot from Omotesando Station, served by the Tokyo Metro's Ginza, Hanzomon, and Chiyoda lines.
