The Hana Biyori Botanical Garden opened in early 2020, and the venue is home to a wide variety of floral beauty to enjoy. A highlight during late winter and early spring are the plum trees in bloom, which number around 200 and encompass several varieties such as Kankobai, Shirakaga, and Beni-chidori.
A plum festival will be held at the garden from early to late February, with benches and wagasa (traditional umbrellas) set up to create a tea ceremony-style atmosphere for those viewing the blossoms.
If you do plan on attending, please note that the garden is closed on Thursday, February 9 during the event dates.
