A typical Japanese supermarket can be really entertaining, especially if you haven't seen anything like it before. Japanese supermarkets not only sell Western products, but also sell local products that can only be seen in Japan.

I was living at Oakhouse apartment and OK Supermarket was conveniently located just a few blocks away. Four-stories tall and as big as an American Walmart, you could easily get lost in here! If not for the size, but also for the variety this place has to offer. From fresh produce, seafood and meat to all your daily essentials, OK Supermarket has everything you need. They use special CAS freezers, which is a technology unique to Japan designed for better preserving frozen food.

There is nothing you cannot find here. And the most interesting thing about this place is that they try to promote local products instead of typical, commercial goods. I was most impressed by the collection of fresh seafood they had available, which I haven't seen in any other supermarket around the world.

Everything from the assistance and customer service to the convenience of having everything in one location makes OK not just "okay", but great. The store is easily accessible and caters for the disabled with priority parking at the front, alongside bicycle and motorbike parking. OK store is situated 5 meters away from Zoshiki Arcade and Zoshiki Station and only three minutes from Oakhouse Kamata.
