Okutama's Hyakuhirono Waterfall

Japan’s Top 100 within outskirts of Tokyo

A short bus ride away from Tokyo’s rural Okutama Station lies the majestic Hyakuhirono Waterfall.

Standing at about 40 meters in height in an upstream portion of the Kawakoketani River, these falls are an impressive sight situated within a pristine area of lush green forest. Weather you visit during the summer, spring, autumn or even winter, these falls provide an excellent escape away from the city during anytime of the year.

As you walk along the narrow forest trails, crossing over small bridges and along narrow ridgelines, the sounds of gushing water will captivate you every step of the way!
