Despite international travel still being difficult at the moment, the Ralph Lauren concept store in Ginza is giving Tokyoites a chance to feel as if they're in New York with their limited-time winter ice skating rink. A beautifully decorated tree sits in the middle of the rink, ensuring that the festive season atmosphere carries on long after Christmas has passed.
The rink itself is made using new technology from Spanish artificial ice rink manufacturer "Xtraice". The synthetic skating surface doesn't require water or electricity to operate, and is seen as a more sustainable alternative to traditional rinks.
Admission is priced at ¥ 2000, and comes with a set of gloves and a special seasonal apple cider tea latte drink. Advance reservations are required for the event, and they can be made via the Ralph Lauren Ginza LINE account.
Getting there
The Ralph Lauren Ginza concept store is located just a minute on foot from Ginza-Itchome station, which is served by the Tokyo Metro's Yurakucho Line.
