Tucked away in the quiet neighborhood of Fuchu is a quaint, little okonomiyaki shop named Sakaeya.

You can take the local city Chu bus or have a 5–10 minute stroll from Fuchu station to reach the shop.

The owner’s friendliness and interior design evokes a warm and homely feeling. For only around ¥600–800 you can have a bowl of neatly prepared okonomiyaki batter with generous condiments.

Together with friends, cooking and flipping variously flavored okonomiyaki over a hot pan can be a very enjoyable experience in this cozy restaurant.
