When winter rolls around in Japan, a variety of fun illumination events pop up on the calendar. One new event in Tokyo is Sparkling View at Shibuya Sky, which is intended to replicate the feel of sparkling winter scenery in the heart of the city.
The event includes a large number of mirrored balloons along the venue's Sky Gallery which provide a unique 360 degree view of the cityscape, and a tree-themed light and sound display at the Sky Stage rooftop observation space. Combined with the spectacular panorama of the sprawling metropolis, this is a winter event worth checking out.
The event can be enjoyed by anyone with a Shibuya Sky admission ticket. Adult tickets are priced at ¥1800 for online advance purchases or ¥2000 on the day of your visit. Ticket prices for other ages can be found on the Shibuya Sky website.
Getting there
Shibuya Sky has direct connectivity from Shibuya Station's B6 subway exit.
