The Star and Sun Market is produced by the team behind the popular Tokyo Night Market, and is taking place in early July. Held along the zelkova tree-lined promenade in Yoyogi Park near Meiji-Jingumae (Harajuku) Station, the event promises five days of food, music, and vibrant cultural exchange in the heart of the city.
The Tokyo Night Market has quickly become one of the city's signature events, with its May 2025 edition attracting around 140,000 visitors and drawing a substantial amount of attention online via social media platforms. Now, with a shift in both season and location, the Star and Sun Market brings a summery twist to the original concept.

The event remains true to its Tokyo-meets-Asia roots, combining elements of traditional and contemporary culture in an accessible and welcoming setting. Stalls will offer a wide variety of food and goods, from street snacks to handmade crafts, and the entertainment lineup is set to include something for everyone. Visitors can look forward to a live stage featuring music and dance performances alongside festival-style games.
The market is free to enter and open to all, but bring along yen if you plan on making any purchases. Weekday hours run from 4pm to 10pm, while Saturday and Sunday extend from 2pm to 10pm. If you're coming for the food, the music, or just to wander beneath the trees, the Star and Sun Market is set to provide a unique way to enjoy a summer evening in Tokyo.
