Tucked away on the back streets of Omotesando, you’ll find cute cafes, trendy boutiques, and perhaps surprisingly, a store dedicated to all things Tintin. The Tintin Store sells a range of merchandise dedicated to the much loved European comic book character, and despite operating out of a relatively small premises there are plenty of items available for purchase.

At the store you’ll find everything from t-shirts to key chains, coffee mugs and plates, postcards and more. If you’re after a particularly unique souvenir from your time in Japan, the store offers a wide range of Tintin books translated into Japanese. Interestingly, the Tintin series has had such worldwide appeal that the comics have been translated into a total of 70 languages, and have sold over 200 million copies.

Getting there

The Tokyo Tintin Store is located approximately five minutes on foot from the Meiji-jingu-mae (Harajuku) Station, serviced by the Chiyoda and Fukutoshin Tokyo Metro lines, or seven minutes walk from Omotesando Station on either the Ginza, Hanzomon or Chiyoda line.
