First held in 1976, the World Ballet Festival is a multi-week event in Tokyo that brings together the world’s most talented dancers.
This event is held every three years at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and is considered one of the oldest and largest ballet festivals in the world. With its variety of international dancers and unique styles, the festival beautifully showcases the timeless elegance of ballet, as well as the current ballet scene.
The previous World Ballet Festival was held in 2024. The next one will be in 2027.

The festival plays host to numerous performances, including excerpts from well-known ballets/stories, like Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Onegin, and Romeo and Juliet.
As this event is very popular, it is important that you purchase your tickets in advance. The 2024 festival tickets went on sale about three months prior to the start of the event. Prices ranged from ¥10,000 to ¥29,000. Guests between the ages of six and 25 had a reduced ticket price of ¥5,000.
The prestigious and graceful art is guaranteed to entrance you.
